Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki was founded in 1925, and  is the biggest university in Greece. The main campus is located in the center of the city of Thessaloniki, and covers an area of about 33.4 hectares.

However,   some of its facilities, both educational and administrative, are located outside the campus or in other cities.

It comprises a total of 10 Schools, consisting of 40 Departments and 1 Part-time School. The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki offers 41 Undergraduate study programs that respectively lead to 1st cycle degrees and 92 postgraduate programs in individual departments. Some of which are corporative between two or more Schools.

There are still 23 collaborations with foreign institutions for the preparation of doctoral theses, Greek and foreign doctoral candidates with plus supervision.

Today there are 73,930 students currently enrolled in Schools and Departments, 65,026 of which are undergraduate and 8,472 postgraduate programs (of which 3,952 are doctoral candidates).

Τhe Centre of VET and Lifelong Learning (LLL) of AUTH, a competitive force in the marketplace of education that was recently re-established (Law 4485/17, Gazette no 4B/5-1-18).

The Centre contributes effectively to decreasing social isolation in education, modernizing the educational system in Greece and upgrading the quality of education (formal / informal).

Most of the courses offered are interdisciplinary and taught by Faculty Members /other Universities/by independent instructors.

The courses are addressed to university graduates, future businesspeople / whoever interested regardless of educational background.
